CENTRAL SQUARE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Taxpayers across Central New York will head to the polls tomorrow, deciding on their school district’s spending plan for next year.
Most polls open at noon, but Central Square is opening their polls at 6 a.m.
Instead of five polling locations in Central Square like in years’ past, there are only two.
“The number one reason we made the change was safety. We wanted to get the voting out of the schools, so we did,” said superintendent Tom Colabufo.
Every district taxpayer who lives in Onondaga County– and the ones who live west of I-81 in Oswego County — will vote at the Central Square American Legion (3301 Fulton Ave).
People in Oneida County, or Oswego County east of 81, will use the polls at the Constantia VFW (1560 NY-49, Constantia)
There are fewer locations, but more time to vote.
Polls close at 9 p.m.
