Today is Tuesday, Aug. 29– Day 7 of the Great New York State Fair!
It’s Fire and Rescue Day, Beef Day and Senior Citizen’s Day.
Fire & Rescue Day allows for free admission to any active or retired member of a fire department or emergency services organization who has a duly issued picture ID from that department or organization.
Senior citizens, 60 years of age and older, are offered free admission on this day of the Fair. ID showing date of birth may be requested to allow free admittance.
At 2 p.m., you can catch The Marshall Tucker Band at Chevy Court. Daya will take the Chevy Court stage at 8 p.m.
If you want to meet your favorite NewsChannel 9 reporters and anchors, they will be available at our spot near the dairy products building at the following times:
11 a.m.-11:15 a.m: Sistina Giordano and TeNesha Murphy (Chevy Court)
11 a.m.-Noon: Jennifer Sanders KateThornton
1 p.m.- 2 p.m: Tim Fox and Olivia Ugino
2 p.m.- 3p.m: Dave Longley and Mike Price
3 p.m.-4p.m: Dan Cummings and Christie Casciano
Everyday, you can catch other musical performances at the Empire Theater, the NYS Grange Stage or the Empire Experience Stage.
You can also catch various animal shows and competitions throughout the day.
Follow your nose to the Chevy Court pavilion to starts the day’s great activities by watching as local media personalities try their hand at becoming the “Branding Iron Chef” in the “Branding Iron Cook-off” media grilling contest beginning at 10:00a.m. NewsChannel 9 will be participating!
