ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Putting off what they believe is a reasonable prison sentence for another month, the Onondaga County District Attorney’s Office says they will keep their offer on the table of serving one to three years behind bars if Chelsea Kuss agrees to a felony DWI charged from April. That’s when police say she crashed and flipped a car in the Tipperary Hill neighborhood.
We were not allowed to record anything inside the courtroom, but we did hear from the defense, as well, which mentioning Kuss has allegedly completed an inpatient alcohol education treatment program and is continuing to get help.
Kuss has already served time for a 2010 deadly drunk driving crash that killed her friend, Victoria Deverso, who was 17. We spoke with Deverso’s aunt who says Kuss is prolonging going back to prison and wonders if Kuss will ever change.
Kuss is due back in court in late August.
