NORWICH, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — A Chenango County man will spend at least the next year in prison.
James Brower was sentenced to one-and-a-half to four-and-a-half years in prison for hindering the prosecution and lying to investigators. Brower and his partner, Tobias Rundstrom-Wooding were both arrested back in August of 2017 for their involvement in the murder of 11-year-old Jacelyn O’Connor. Investigators say Brower lied to them about what happened the night O’Connor was killed.
Prosecutors say there was not enough evidence to charge Brower with the murder. Runstrom-Wooding was sentenced to 20 years to life in prison for murder and rape.
