ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Christian Brothers Academy held a groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday morning to introduce the beginning of multi-million dollar improvements and renovations to the school.
The $11 million project includes a remodeled front entrance, library, new classrooms and enhancement to their performing arts center.
The school’s president says the changes have been years in the making.
“This has been about four years in the planning. It began with our master plan for the school, which called for a renovation for our front entrance and our cafeteria and relocation of our library. This is part of the master plan that we’ve been following,” said Brother Joseph Jozwiak, President of Christian Brothers Academy.
The project is expected to take place over the summer.
The school will also use the funding for significant investments in the school’s ability to provide financial aid.
