Cicero attracts 300 people from all over the northeast for archery tournament

CICERO, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - Ready, aim, release. More than 300 people filled the old Burlington Coat Factory in Cicero on Saturday for an archery tournament, the first Center Shot Ministry is taking part in.

From Maryland, to Scranton, even Staten Island. Kids from grade 4-12 gave it their best shot, hoping for a bulls-eye.

The winners will be invited to a national tournament in Louisville, Kentucky in may, but the biggest prize may be meeting other kids while learning life lessons.

"We use archery to teach lessons about how to be a follower of Jesus Christ, but also just about how to live a good life," said The Gathering Place Lead Pastor, George Miller.

Center Shot Ministry plans to take part in the archery tournament again next year.
