Saturday marked a special occasion for veterans at the New York State Fairgrounds.
Families lined up to show their appreciation to the men and women who have served in the armed forces.
It was the tenth year of the Central New York Veterans Parade and Expo.
More than 90 veterans and military groups join the parade each year, from every branch of the armed services and from every conflict since WWII.
Then, an Expo shares information about military history and help available for veterans and active troops.
The U.S. officially recognizes Veterans Day on November 11.
