At the end of February, Baker High School in Baldwinsville held its first culture festival. The festival was the idea of junior Aidan Priest. He wanted to showcase the diversity of the school district.
The festival celebrated over 20 different cultures that make up the Baldwinsville school community. Parents, students, staff and community members lined the school hallways to display clothing and other items related to their cultures. Food samples were a big hit and included dishes and desserts from Jamaica, Poland, Italy, and Palestine. A roving bagpiper as well as Irish dancers entertained guests.
