Students in East Syracuse are making Valentine’s Day a little more special for some Veterans.
Woodland Elementary students wrote and colored 400 Valentines for local Veterans and active military service members.
They will be handed out at the Syracuse VA Medical Center and Clear Path for Veterans. The Valentines will also be given to active military through the Local Corporal Kyle R. Schneider Foundation in Baldwinsville.
This is the second year a school in the district has participated in the Project in Partnership with Assemblywoman Pamela Hunter, who is an army veteran.
The students who were part of the project wanted Veterans to know they were thinking of them.
