The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office has been investigating a viral video out of the North Syracuse school district which depicts two students involved in an “altercation” in a bathroom.

Deputies say that the incident at North Syracuse Junior High School was not an act of bullying, but rather two friends who agreed to meet in the bathroom for the sole purpose of participating in a “slap box” contest.

Both students were not injured as a result of the incident.

The Sheriff’s Office has deemed the incident non-criminal in nature.

The school’s student disciplinary process was initiated by the school district.
