As customers switch from Time Warner Cable to Spectrum, they’ve had plenty of questions, concerns and complaints to share on the NewsChannel 9 Your Stories line.
One viewer heard there is a $5 charge if he pays a bill over the phone.
A Spectrum spokesman says that’s true – if a customer service agent’s help is need. The agent’s time results in a $5 processing fee.
Customers can avoid the charge by paying via mail or in-person at a Spectrum store.
The spokesman also said there’s a free method to pay bills over the phone by following a series of prompts to enter billing and payment information, without ever using an agent’s help.
