SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Galaxy Media announced on Wednesday that Eric Dungey will be joining their SU football coverage this fall. The former Orange star quarterback will be appearing weekly on TK99’s “Gomez and Lisa in the Morning.” He will also be featured on a weekly segment airing on ESPN Radio in Syracuse.
In addition to that, Dungey will co-host pre- and post-game coverage on both TK99 and ESPN Radio. The ESPN show on the Quad involving Dungey will be hosted by NewsChannel 9 sports director Steve Infanti. That show will air one-hour prior to the kickoff of every home game throughout the SU football season.
Dungey set or tied 25 school records during his time as a player at Syracuse. He will be returning to school this fall to finish his degree in Accounting. Dungey was released late last month by the New York Giants just prior to the start of training camp.
“I’m excited to be back in Syracuse for a few months and am thrilled for the opportunity presented by Galaxy Media to join TK99 and ESPN Radio with pre and post-game coverage for the upcoming football season. I am looking forward to engaging with the Syracuse fans and community from a different perspective. Go Orange!” said Eric Dungey.
Syracuse University Football’s Offensive Coordinator Mike Lynch and Defensive Coordinator Brian Ward will also join TK99 and ESPN Radio for weekly orange reports. Lynch and Ward will be regular guests on the radio version of “Orange Nation” hosted by Steve Infanti and Seth Goldberg.
Galaxy President/CEO, Ed Levine, commented, “The renaissance of SU Football led by Coach Babers has created amazing fan interest. We are simply giving our listeners more of what they want- SU football.”
