SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — A man who helped scam local people out of money they thought was going to a little girl with cancer was sentenced on Tuesday.

Earl Woodridge will spend six months in jail and face five years probation.

Police say Woodridge, along with Roger and Nicole Dunn, pretended to be relatives of Kaylee Marshfield, a girl battling cancer, and went door to door, falsely collecting hundreds of dollars in donations.
