SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — A team of senior aerospace engineering students at Syracuse University tested their airplane designs on Sunday inside the Carrier Dome.
The airplanes, which students spent hundreds of hours designing and constructing, were made to carry rockets. Students were able to see if their designs were practical or not.
“They learn about the theory for four years and theories are a great guide, but when it comes down to it, it’s all the little details that are going to make it a success or a failure,” said professor John Dannenhoffer.
Next week the group of students will test out model rockets to see how long they can keep them in the air.
