One lucky winner will drive away in a hot classic car simply by buying a raffle ticket to benefit a high school auto tech class.
Students in the Automotive Technology program at East Syracuse Minoa High School have been purchasing a classic car to restore and gain hands-on experience in the Spartan Garage.
For the past 12 years, the final product is raffled off when the car is near completion.
The funds generated from the raffle are utilized to keep the restoration and raffle process going each year.
This year’s vehicle is a Factory Five Mk4 Roadster that’s “ruby red metallic” with “moon dust silver pearl” stripes. The car is on display at the Syracuse Nationals on the New York State Fairgrounds inside the Center of Progress Building along with two past finished cars whose owners live in Central New York.
The drawing will take place at 8 p.m. on Sunday, July 22.
Raffle ticket information is available by clicking here, or by calling technology teacher Ryan Beckley at (315) 427-5811.
