BLOSSVALE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — In Oneida County, a father is accused of threatening his son with a revolver and then that led to a 12 hour standoff.
State Police were called to a home along Deeley Road in Blossvale just after midnight Wednesday. They say Joseph Cromp Sr. barged into the house and got into a fight with his 22-year-old son and another man. Cromp then took his son from the home and returned to his own house. His son able to escape and Cromp later surrendered.
Troopers later executed a search warrant and found multiple firearms, including the pistol they say was used in the crime.
Cromp, who is a convicted felon, is facing numerous charges, including burglary, criminal possession of a weapon and menacing. He’s being held at the Oneida County Jail.
