EAST SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — East Syracuse played host to a fire track rally on Monday afternoon.
More than $10 million worth of vehicles were onhand at Churchville Fire Equipment. This was the largest display of various vehicles and apparatus in Upstate New York.
Not only were local fire departments in attendance, but there were also those from around the state and even Canada.
It was an opportunity for fire officials to see the latest equipment and in essence, window shop.
“There’s changes in the industry so much such as reducing the threat of cancer in the fire service, new technology in aerial devices like you see behind us and different design in trucks,” said John Alfieri.
Around 300 people attended the event.
