Firefighters quickly put out industrial fire

Local News

ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Firefighters responded to an industrial fire just after 7 a.m. Monday along New Court Avenue.

East Syracuse Fire Chief Mike Cramer says the fire appeared to have begun in a lint trap at AmeriPride Uniform Services located near Eastbourne Drive.

There were about 35 workers inside the building at the time of the fire, according to Cramer.

Firefighters put the fire out by using several ladders to access the roof.

Cramer says there were no injuries to employees or firefighters.
