Fitch Street home, scene of deadly fire, demolished

Local News

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — It was just over a year ago that flames ripped through a Fitch Street home in Syracuse, killing four people.

Charles DuBois, 21, was found guilty of murder and arson earlier this month for setting that fire that killed his mother, brother, sister and one-year-old nephew.

That verdict cleared the way for the home to be torn down Tuesday morning.

Neighbors we spoke with said seeing the home taken down did bring back some unpleasant memories, but they’re okay with the building gone.
