(WSYR-TV) — New drivers in Central Nw York learned about driver safety today at the State Fairgrounds on Saturday. “Ford Driving Skills for Life” helped teach young drivers skills including hazard recognition, vehicle handling, and speed and space management.
Another session will be held from 1 to 5:30 p.m. on Sunday at the Fairgrounds.
Newly-licensed drivers or teens with a permit can participate.
Each year an average of 3,000 teens ages 16-19 die in car crashes.
