NEW YORK STATE (WSYR-TV) — Peter Rauch is nearing the end of his minimum sentence of two years in state prison and will now face a parole board next month.
The former Onondaga County District Attorney’s office investigator was driving drunk when he hit and killed Seth Collier, 18, on North Salina Street and then left the scene.
Rauch was sentenced to two-to-six years in prison after pleading guilty to vehicular manslaughter and leaving the scene of a fatal accident.
In a Facebook post, Collier’s mom is encouraging the community to write letters opposing Rauch’s release.
