Former West Genesee Superintendent Dr. Chris Brown has been hired to the same position at another district in Upstate New York.
According to the Marcus Whitman Central School District website, Brown will begin as that district’s superintendent July 1.
“We are very excited to welcome Dr. Chris Brown to the Marcus Whitman School District,” says Board of Education President Sheila Brown. “The experience and skills Dr. Brown brings to the district will support and continue to grow our tradition of fostering innovation and supporting diverse life-long learners who positively impact the world community.”

Brown stepped down from his role in the West Genesee School District earlier this year while the district investigated social media posts involving his personal relationships.
The Marcus Whitman school district is in Rushville, which is located in Ontario and Yates Counties.
