SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Frank Lloyd Wright has long been lauded as the greatest architect of the 20th century and we’re now getting a look at a home he was commissioned to build in Syracuse back in the early 1950s.
Dr. Donald Grover and his wife, Viola, reached out to Wright and asked him to design and build what they called a functional and modern home. These drawings and sketches are part of a collection up for auction in Boston.
Sadly, the design was out of the Grover’s budget and the home was never built.
The drawings are expected to fetch around $10,000.
