SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — A man accused of assaulting his father has been named as this week’s Fugitive of the Week by the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office. A Town of Salina judge signed a warrant for the arrest of Trey Rosa-Cooper for burglary, 2nd degree and assault, 3rd degree.
According to Sheriff’s Warrant Unit Supervisor, Sgt. Michael Norton, on July 19, 2019 Rosa-Cooper, along with a 15 year old female, and a 16 year old male entered his father’s Lyncourt residence, just after midnight, through an open rear window. Once inside, the three allegedly assaulted the father and his girlfriend, then fled on foot. The two teens were located in the area just after the incident and arrested. Rosa-Cooper was not located that night and remains on the run.
Mr. Rosa-Cooper is no stranger to police. Sgt. Norton says the fugitive has had police contact over 50 times since 2015, including his arrests as an adult for stealing a car and violating probation.
