Going to the fair? Might want to leave your car at home

GEDDES, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) The sunshine and nice breeze on dollar day drew large crowds to the Great New York State Fair on Saturday. In fact, so many people came out it caused people to sit in traffic for more than an hour and even filled up lots.

As of 3:45 p.m., the State Fair posted on its Facebook page that parking was beginning to open up as early fairgoers began to head home.

If you’re heading out to the fair, you’re asked to consider going to a Centro Park-N-Ride stop. Fair staff say it will help give you the easiest trip to and from the Fair.
