Hancock Airport officials say it has been operating at “status quo” during the government shutdown so far.
Hancock Airport Executive Director Christina Callahan spoke with NewsChannel 9 about Transportation Security Administration employees on Friday, Jan. 11.
“We have not seen any impact to our screening process, any lines to the checkpoint,” Callahan said. “So, we are glad that the process itself and our passengers haven’t endured any impacts as a result of the shutdown.”
NewsChannel 9 reached out to the TSA Friday afternoon.
According to an auto-reply email from at TSA spokesperson, TSA spokespeople have been placed on furlough until the government reopens and did not provide any information.
