Hometown Honors For Baldwinsville Native Turned Major League Pitcher Jason Grilli

From Baldwishville High School to the World Series, Central New York is honoring major league pitcher Jason Grilli for his twenty year career as a professional baseball player.

Grilli is one of seven professional athletes being inducted into the Greater Syracuse Sports Hall of Fame’s class of 2019. The class includes football players J.J. Grant, Pat Killorin and Floyd Little; golfer Mike Naton; wrestler Dan Hunt and women’s basketball player Breanna Stewart.

“It’s always good to come back to your roots and hometown and to be honored like I am very humbled by that to be selected and to be among the great athletes of Central New York,” Grilli said.

The Greater Syracuse Sports Hall of Fame welcomes the class of 2019 ceremony is happening Monday October 28th at the Oncenter Pirro Convention Center located at 800 South State Street, Syracuse. Tickets for the dinner are sold out.
