ONEIDA COUNTY, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, the Sheriff's Office and the New York Mills School District are investigating a possible threatening Snap Chat message received by a student.
The Sheriff's Office interviewed everyone involved and deamed the threat not credible.
Sheriff Maciol stated that in addition to the special patrol officers already at the New York Mills School, the Sheriff's Office will have extra patrols at the school on Monday to ensure the safety and security of all students and faculty members.
The investigation is ongoing.
