The West Gensee Central School District will appoint an interim executive principal at West Genesee High School at Wednesday’s Board of Education meeting.
The developnment was announced by acting superintendent Jody Manning in a blog post.
Finally, as part of this transition, we will also be appointing an interim executive high school principal at Wednesday’s Board meeting.
Manning has not responded to NewsChannel 9’s questions about if the executive principal is leaving the district or is taking another role.
A district administrator says they don’t comment on personel matters. He adds that as of Tuesday, she still has the job of executive principal but is on administrative leave.
The job opening comes two weeks after longtime superintendent Chris Brown resigned following the district’s investigation into a Facebook post accusing him of leaving his wife for someone he supervises.
The executive principal has been on administrative leave since the investigation began.
At Wednesday’s board meeting, Manning will also discuss the three phases of transitioning to new leadership as a search for Brown’s replacement continues.
