It sure seems like May has been pretty wet. Meteorologist John DiPasquale was at Longbranch Park and breaks down some of the numbers for us.
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — This month, just shy of four inches of rain has fallen through midnight Monday, but including Tuesday, we are over four inches in Syracuse for the month of May already.
The average rainfall for all of May is three-and-a-quarter inches.
Spring is considered March 1st through May 31st.
This spring, compared to the top five wettest springs on record in Syracuse, isn’t even close. There has been over nine inches of rainfall so far this spring, but in 1976, there were over 20 inches of precipitation.
