CONSTANTIA, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Multiple crews spent part of Thursday evening battling a brush fire in Constantia.
Oswego County Sheriff Don Hilton had asked the public to avoid the area of Fredrick Street and Route 23 in Constantia while crews were battling the flames.
Multiple fire crews, forest rangers, and even Air-1 had been called to help battle the fire.
There’s no word on the cause of the fire yet. But it is a good reminder that New York State has a burn ban in place until May 14 which reduces the risk of wildfires.
