NEW YORK STATE (WSYR-TV) — New York State lawmakers will make another run at protecting drivers from cashless tolls.
Sponsors say it will be a new and improved version of a measure Governor Andrew Cuomo vetoed last year.
In preparation for statewide cashless tolls by the end of 2020, the goal is to make it easier to fix discrepancies if you’re charged erroneously.
When Governor Cuomo vetoed the previous law, he claimed it would make it easier to evade tolls altogether.
This time, lawmakers plan to address those concerns.
