SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Le Moyne College’s class of 2019 will celebrate commencement this Sunday and the campus Career Services team says many soon-to-be grads already have jobs.
More than one-third of graduating students have jobs.
During their time at Le Moyne, Career Services has prepped them with mock interviews and helped students secure job internships to be ready for the workforce.
Le Moyne’s Career Services director says the job market is looking good in all career fields.
“Employers are hiring about 11 percent more students from the class of 2019 than they hired in the class of 2018. We’re seeing a growth across all sectors, but of course, technology is seeing a tremendous amount of growth, so we’re really excited about that because we have a bunch of majors where really preparing students to take advantage of that,” said Meredith Tornabene, Le Moyne College Director of Career Advising and Development.
Coming up at 5 p.m., we’ll hear from a soon-to-be Dolphin grad who tells us an alumn’s campus visit led to her landing a job with one of the biggest names in the candy industry.
You can watch Le Moyne’s commencement on Sunday, May 25th at 9 a.m. on MeTV.
