LIVERPOOL, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) – On Sunday, Trellis Brook Lane in Liverpool featured a special pop up stand, Ava’s Awesome Lemonade.

There you could find lemonade, popcorn, cupcakes and a young girl determined to bring hope to children with cancer.

Ava Musci has been an active member of Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation since 2017. Since then, she has raised more than $2,000 which has helped fund more than 40 hours of cancer research.

The creator of the foundation, Alexandra “Alex” Scott, began raising money for children with cancer by selling lemonade when she was just 4-years-old. When Scott was 8, she passed away from neuroblastoma. At that time, Scott had raised more than one million dollars to help find a cure for the disease.

According to the foundation, the mission is to change the lives of children with cancer through funding impactful research, raising awareness, supporting families, and empowering everyone to help cure childhood cancer.

Musci wants to do just that. She surpassed her 2018 sale goal of $1,000 so this year she’s aiming for $2,000! Click here for a look at her stand’s website.
