‘Lyme the Great Imitator’ event spreads awareness about the disease

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — To coincide with Lyme disease awareness month, doctors from all over the region and from Europe were in Syracuse on Saturday for the “Lyme the Great Imitator” event put on by the Empire State Lyme Disease Association

Nurses and doctors from the Albany-area, including Dr. Heidi Puc, Dr. Amy Lazzarini, Jennifer Goldstock, and Natasha Ruiz explained the complexity of the disease and provided tips for those suffering. 

A representative from Infusio, Bijan Boustani, visited from Germany to talk about the clinic. 

Martha Conan, a Lyme warrior, shared copies of her book They Didn’t Know: My Personal Journey With Lyme Disease.
