SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — A man has been critically injured after being hit in the head with a large wooden stick following a fight in the city of Syracuse.
Syracuse Police responded to a parking lot near 941 James Street for reports of an assault.
When they arrived, they found a 28-year-old man and 55-year-old Robert Adams were drinking in the parking lot and began to argue.
Police say Adams hit the 28-year-old in the head with a large wooden stick.
The victim was sent to Upstate and is in critical condition.
Adams has been charged with first-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
