Man shot on Syracuse’s south side last week dies from injuries

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) A Syracuse man shot on the city’s south side last week has died from his injuries. The Syracuse Police Department is now investigating this as a homicide.

At around 4:28 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21 43-year-old Shondell Days was shot in the 100 block of W. Lafayette Avenue and taken to Upstate University Hospital by a private vehicle, Syracuse police said. 

Days died at the hospital on Saturday.

Officers found several casings in the area on the day of the shooting.  

The investigation is ongoing, and right now police have limited suspect information.
