SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — The man who pleaded guilty to killing his estranged girlfriend outside a Motel 6 in East Syracuse was back in court on Thursday where a judge ordered Keith Lobdell not to contact the victim’s family.
The family of Rena Tindell says Lobdell reached out to them and they are asking that he does not do so again ahead of an order of protection hearing on May 28th.
Lobdell previously admitted to stabbing Tindell to death in November 2017.
Earlier this week, Lobdell was deemed mentally competent.
