Manlius holding ‘Name the Baby Swans Contest’

Local News

Note: The original naming contest was for Faye and Manny’s four cygnets, but according to the Village of Manlius, one of the cygnets had health problems and passed away. Four names will still be chosen, so all of the cygnets will get names, including the one that passed away.

VILLAGE OF MANLIUS, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) The village of Manlius wants you to help name the new four cygnets at the Swan Pond.

Faye and Manny’s four babies were born in May and have been seen and photographed by many who visit the village’s well-known pond.

You must be between the ages of 4 and 12 to enter names into the contest. Entries must be received by June 30.

The village is looking for four names.

The winner will receive a prize and will ride in the 4th of July Parade with “Miss Sparkle,” the swan float.

Entry forms can be found by clicking here. Completed entry forms must be mailed or dropped off at the Manlius Village Clerk located at 1 Arkie Albanese Ave.
