SYRACUSE (WSYR-TV) - The next generation of nurses earned their college pins through St. Joseph's Hospital's College of Nursing.
72 students finished up the associate's degree program Sunday.
Many graduates say they've already found work in the healthcare field.
"I just got a job. So, I will be delivering babies and working in the NICU and it's just a really exciting time and I'm happy to have finally made it here," said Emma Thieme.
"I grew up in Skaneateles, so it is awesome to stay local. Hopefully, see familiar faces in the hospital. That was big for me. I wanted to stay in Upstate New York," said Jessica Labourdette.
The graduates work side by side with designated nurses at the hospital.
