A Marcellus family’s detailed replica of the Parker family home from “A Christmas Story” could soon become a LEGO official set.

The project, started by Jason Middaugh, took months to complete. It spread quickly on social media late last year.

In order for the set to make it to LEGO’s official product review stage, supporters of the project must vote on the company’s “Ideas” site (you can vote for “A Christmas Story” here).

If approved by LEGO, the set will eventually be available in stores.

“I would love to have my hometown share in this too,” Middaugh said. “It would be pretty neat to have an official LEGO set come right out of Syracuse.”

Voting for the project runs through December 2018.
