NORWICH, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — A Chenango County school district is about to set a very unique record. Norwich City School District has nine sets of twins in the class of 2019.
All of them are set to graduate on June 29.
“I don’t know if we have nine sets from Kindergarten to twelfth grade, so to have nine in one class is pretty amazing,” said Norwich High School Principal Kisten Gigilio.
The 18 students make up a good chunk of the 2019 class. They have their own section of the yearbook.
“Being a twin is like having a best friend always,” said Riley Strong, who is an identical twin with her sister Ripley. “We had shared a room for 16 years and we finally split up to separate rooms. So, we have been very close and having a best friend next to the door.”
All 18 have plans for after high school.
