Old Bon-Ton in Camillus to be split in two; half to house St. Joseph’s Health offices: Your Stories

Local News

CAMILLUS, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) – A caller to the Your Stories line wants to know if there are any plans for the old Bon-Ton store on West Genesee Street near West Genesee High School.

Camillus Town Supervisor Mary Ann Coogan tells NewsChannel 9 that plans are in the works.

Coogan says the old store will be spit in two.

One section will become offices for St. Joseph’s Health. A spokesperson for the hospital says these new offices will be clinical with a focus on specialty care.

The other half of the old Bon-Ton has not yet been leased out.

All Bon-Ton stores closed last year, after the company went out of business.

The Destiny USA location is still vacant.
