(WSYR-TV) — In an effort to increase the number of volunteer firefighters in New York State, the RecruitNY campaign will kick off with a news conferece at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 22, at the Lyncourt Fire Department.
During the RecruitNY weekend — April 27 & 28 — volunteer fire departments will open their doors to the community and educate those interested in becoming a volunteer firefighter.
