Restaurants saw success as Downtown Dining Weeks concludes

Non-stop calls, a full restaurant, and special deals — all signs of success for the end of Downtown Dining Weeks.

Susi Stein, managing partner of the Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, says there was a significant increase in sales this time around.

“I would say almost every table had at least one person that would get the dining week (special), so it was really good this year,” she explained.

Stores like Apizza did so well, they’re extending their Downtown Dining menu into next week. 

And while some stores’ specials did better than usual, other’s didn’t experience a similar impact from the event.

“Our participation with dining week was down for the actual participation in the special,” said Funk N’ Waffles bar manager Samuel Levey. “But we did see a lot of traffic, we did see a lot of people.”

Regardless of participation, local business owners agree that Downtown Dining Weeks is essential in turning first-time customers into regulars.
