NEW YORK STATE (WSYR-TV) — As you get ready to hit the road for the 4th of July holiday, we have a traffic alert to pass along.
Governor Andrew Cuomo has announced lane closures for road and bridge construction projects will be put on hold. This will happen from 6 a.m. Thursday through Monday morning.
This comes as a record number of people will be driving during the July 4th holiday weekend.
Some work may continue behind permanent concrete barriers or for emergencies.
