OSWEGO, N.Y. (WSYR) — 12,000 sandbags and 200 feet of aquadam now line the shore behind Rudy’s in Oswego.

“The biggest effort we’ve been making is just to try to raise our land level to prevent the lake from coming into the parking lot or the building,” said owner Jason Livesey. “We’ve had to replace electric lines, we’ve had to replace lighting, we’ve had to replace our seagull netting.”

They might be down some outdoor seating, but inside it’s nothing short of the full Rudy’s experience.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo sent another 100 New York National Guard members to the Lake Ontario shoreline.

They are being sent there to help with flood preparation. This doubles the amount of National Guard troops already sent.
