SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Salt City Market, the proposed food hall and market on South Salina Street, is looking for potential vendors.
Market manager Adam Sudmann and his team have met with about 130 people at various market info sessions around town the past few weeks — 37 applied to be vendors in the market and 23 are being interviewed.
Sudmann is planning to host an event at the site where you can sample a variety of foods from the different vendors.
“When you come to the event, the idea is we give you a ticket. You punch your ticket each time you get a sample from one of the stations and then you flip that ticket over and we have some questions for you to answer,” Sudmann explained.
The goal is to start breaking ground shortly after the pop-up event.
“This is not my market, this is everybody’s market,” Sudmann said.
