Severe weather is heading east of Syracuse as of 5 pm

The severe weather threat is moving east into Oneida and northern Madison counties.

The line of storms may have briefly pulsed stronger on the north side of Syracuse.

More than 5,000 National Grid customers are reported without power on the north side of Syracuse and between Lakeland and Warners.

There are reports of trees and power lines down in the Grant Boulevard area of Syracuse.
