The school shootings in Florida were on the minds of a small group of people who gathered at Onondaga Lake Park Saturday.
During a vigil in memory of the victims, they offered a moment of silence and blessings for the families affected.
The group tries to meet after every major tragedy.
“Too many is the key word. I mean it’s always, as everyone has said, it’s always very sickening and heart wrenching to be talking about thoughts and prayers. Many of us come from very spiritual backgrounds, but I think we’re all tired of thoughts and prayers only and we’re really ready to see a lot more recommital,” says Chaplain David Pasinski.
The chaplin asked people to draw a heart and the letter “R” on their hands to for remembrance, recommitment, and renewal.
